In the eighth panel (Above), the hounds watch as Harold tells William that he is to be King Edward's heir. The rest of the tapestry tells of the dispute and ensuing battle between Harold and Williams forces at Hastings.
Greyhounds are also visible in Panels 4 and 6 of the tapestry.
